Project Bread Presents Hunger Hero Award to State Senator Anne Gobi

In December, Project Bread President Erin McAleer, State Senator Anne Gobi, and State Representative visited Athol-Royalston Middle School to celebrate the school’s new Grab & Go breakfast program. Before beginning a Grab & Go Program, the school served traditional breakfast, only reaching 25% of students. After implementing the program at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, the school has reached 64% participation. At the end of the event, Erin McAleer presented Sen. Anne Gobi with the Project Bread Hunger Hero award to recognize her significant contributions toward ending hunger in Massachusetts. Read the full story here.
