The second annual "Healthy Food Fuels Hungry Minds: a Stakeholders Conference For School Food" will take place at Harvard University on June 1st from 8 AM to 5 PM. The conference brings parents, shool meals providers, policy makers, and advocates together to explore healthy innovations in school food, with an eye toward the role of students' health in closing the achievement gap. The conference boasts an awe-inspiring speaker lineup including but not limited to: Tommy Chang, Superintendent of Boston Public Schools; Maria Fleishmann, CEO of the Chef Ann Foundation; Bettina Siegel, Lunch Tray blogger and op-ed columnist for Civil Eats; and Lousia Kasdon, founder of Let's Talk About Food. There will be a wealth of school nutrition directors and Harvard public health researchers as well, so the grassroots and academic perspectives will be well-represented!
